Graph paper drawing for 2nd grade

  • ages 7–8 age
  • 27 activities
  • 24–30 steps
  • Free, no sign-up

A second grader no longer loses count and holds a direction, so the routes here are noticeably longer and full of turns. The result is detailed — animals, vehicles, characters.

A good test: switch on dictation mode and set a four-second pause. If your child reaches the end without asking you to stop, the level is theirs.

Graph paper drawing for ages 7–8

If you were looking for ages 7–8 specifically, this is the page: the “2nd Grade” collection is put together for exactly that age. There are 27 activities here — from 24 to 30 steps, each with a picture at the end and a printable sheet.

Working with a second grader

  • Move on to dictation mode: no steps on screen, only the voice.
  • Shorten the pause gradually — five seconds, then four, then three.
  • Ask your child not to cross steps off: that is what trains working memory.
  • After a win, talk about the hardest part. It is worth more than praise.
